Police investigators in New Rochelle are seeking the public’s assistance as they attempt to locate a man who stole hundreds of dollars after threatening an employee at a busy store.

A surveillance photo has been released of a suspect who entered Bradell Variety on North Avenue at approximately 3:40 p.m. on June 14. Police said the unidentified man threatened to do immediate bodily harm to the employee behind the counter and demanded money.

According to police, no weapon was displayed, but the employee gave the suspect approximately $700 in cash before he fled on foot. The suspect was caught on camera fleeing northbound on North Avenue, behind the CVS, and onto Huguenot Street.

City cameras show that the suspect came from the area of North Avenue and Clinton Place.
